Welsbach Electric hosted its second annual "Safety Day" in July. Our goal is to always introduce new safety policies and procedures, update employee personnel files, and promote a culture focused on safety.

The idea for Safety Day arose when President and CEO, Kenneth Brouwer, tasked a group of dedicated employees with evaluating and improving company safety policies and procedures with the ultimate goal of zero losses.

The group, known as the "Safety Committee" included:

Peter Ronzetti, Vice President of Operations
Jerry Scotti, Safety Director
Anaila Garvey, Esq., Director of Administration
Curtis Jones, Site Safety Representative
Robert Hughes, General Superintendent
Sheri Lee Schreiber, Payroll Manager
Timothy Miller, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and
Carl Fry, Assistant Vice President of Transit

Our Safety Day over the past couple of years featured:

  • EMCOR Code of Ethics training
  • Safety related demonstrations and training for both office and field employees
  • Stretching exercises on the best stretching and ergonomic techniques to prevent sprains and strains
  • Updating of all employee personnel files
  • Demonstrations for field employees, including Fall Protection Training and Scissor Lift Training
